One of the unexpected benefits of joining Twitter back in 2009, was finding myself immersed in an incredible International circle of artists. In those early days on Twitter, there was so much sharing (and resharing;) of our art. It was inspiring! The energy was palpable and we learned from each other, helped each other when the Muse fell away, encouraged creation and applauded success. It was a uniquely special time for me, a coming together of like minded friends that sparked my creativity, igniting passion for my art in a brand new way.
So, when a dear Twitter friend from Norway, named David Sandum announced that he would curate an art exhibit for the community of artists on Twitter, with the primary goal of the exhibit intending to raise money for a worthy cause, many of us in that circle joined in enthusiastically and submitted art for the event. (You can see my first submission, here.) It ended up being a huge success and led to the second TwitterArtExhibit just two years later.(My second submission, here.) And because good things tend to get even bigger and better, I am pleased to announce that the 3rd TwitterArtExhibit will take place in January 2013 in Los Angeles. I am hard at work on my art submission and I promise to share here soon!
I am honored that David asked me to be an Honorary Ambassador to help promote the #TwitterArtExhibit venues as the concept grows and evolves. I have always been impressed by the integrity and quality of the art submissions...each artist truly presenting their best work. It is my hope that we will see many new artists and countries represented in the 3rd exhibit this January.

woot...this is very cool stuff...love it when people do things to draw artists together and give them an outlet...and for a great cause as well..and def love to see your art get the props as well...

what a great idea. I follow David on Twitter - will look at this some more. We too in the UK are trying to get an arts collective up and running and it's soooo much work, plus we will need to do our own fundraising. (we are on twitter at @ArtLacuna if you would like to have a look!)
